He is the most independent 1 1/2 year old that I have ever seen. He would walk up to the steps, knock on the door, and once the door opened he would say "Tick-a-Teat." It was the most precious trick or treat you ever heard (well, I know it was for me). Once they put the candy in his bucket he would say "tank tu," walk on down the steps and headed off to the next house (singing along the way). You could hear the people on the porch saying "listen to that cute little cowboy singing." Let me tell you though, I'm not sure what he was singing but he sure did. It is just crazy how much he has changed in just 1 short year, not with just his looks but with his little personality!

This little guy is my world (and Daddy's too) and we are so very blessed to have been chosen to be parents.
Anyway, we walked around the neighborhood for what seemed like an hour and 1/2 or so but as we headed back to the house we found out we had only been out for 45 minutes.

But in those 45 mintues, Grays' bucket was almost full!! We couldn't decide if we were going to let him go some more or if we should just head home. In the end, we headed home (by the way, we trick-or-treated with my sister, Bobby, and all the kiddos).

Gray put up a fight when we went to go leave. He, of course, did not want to leave and was highly and I mean HIGHLY upset but we knew he was tired (on the walk back to the house he was dragging his feet). And we were right....

Oh, just so you know, we are not one those parents who let their children go trick or treating and then eat all their candy! LOL! I will admit, unfortunately, we do eat the stuff he can't have like: snickers, peanut M&M's, anything and everything with nuts. He is highly allergic to it (has an epipen Jr. in his bag at all times because of it).
